I also used a tool Logitech has specifically for removing Wheel Drivers, and that did not work either.Do I have to do something else to actually remove it? I have tried Remove Device for the Thrustmaster T80 listing under devices, but it comes back as soon as I plug it in.

  • Speaking of Thrustmaster T80, when I first plugged it in, Windows did the auto detect it always does and that is I suppose the drivers it installed.
  • It gets recognized as a Thrustmaster T80.

If anyone figures out how to use a Logitech GT Driving Force (it is the PS4 model but should work on PC according to what I read), please let me know. The wheel is better implemented in other driving games and the game feels clearly devised around using the gamepad as of launch. There is a novelty to using the wheel, but I switched to an Xbone controller recently and am not sure I will go back to the Thrustmaster. Advanced settings has vibration/force feedback settings on the wheel defaulted to 50%, anyone with issues feeling these effects should dig in and bump up the slider much higher or max them out and you will feel the difference. This is burdensome when dealing with events that require the use of e-brake on a face-button(which would be far easier with a different binding.) The game recognizes my exact wheel and profiles in a default layout for all buttons, but it entirely leaves out more useful bindings such as horn, rear view(!), and (I suppose understandbly) replaces useful xbox button icons with numbered PC-style buttons on screen that can be a confusing guessing game to suss out mid-play(since MS won't be using the PS icons as it is a PS4/PC wheel). As mentioned already, the lack of customization for wheel presets is amateur hour. Still, despite the looser feel, it can still be a good time negotiating races and just futzing about, but drift and skill challenges are more frustrating than fun with a wheel. It's immediately apparent switching over to Forza 6 Apex for comparison. Due to the reduced handling simulation and more accessible arcade-style physics and feel, I feel less convinced that I have quite as much control over the car than in the traditional Forza games. Eh.I have a great wheel, but I am not convinced this game is really devised very well for its use. *** Microsoft/Playground - PLEASE fix custom wheel settings on PC! They don't save properly, and are really important because the default wheel layouts are really bad. It just basically doesn't exist, but then again it's not really necessary. Lastly, the 3rd pedal is not recognized at all. This wheel and many others have properly colored and labeled buttons - would be great if that was referenced in-game so we don't have to wonder what "button 3" was again.

Another annoyance is that buttons are referred to in-game by number, rather than the usual color-coded ABXY, LB, RB etc. It also forces you to map functions that you might not want - let us decide. getting B to map), the settings will be messed up when you exit the game and come back. For example, even if you manage to map the controls how you want (requires a bit of work i.e. And unfortunately the custom wheel setups are very, very buggy. FH3 on PC has a terrible default layout for this wheel IMO. pretty good, the wheel & pedals are very decent for the price Own an Xbone but haven't tried that version yet.
