Nvidia may not announce Volta yet, but Volta will probably arrive some time in 2017. We are excited to hear him speak as yesterday, during companys Q1. NVIDIA announced the next generation of its DRIVE platform, called Atlan. That moving target has apparently now moved again. Nvidia is not just a semiconductor company any longer. Up until recently, next-gen GeForce GPUs had been said to launch at Computex, and then E3. Nvidia ( NVDA -0.13) had its GTC global AI conference this week, and the announcements left me speechless. Keep in mind, Nvidia has never said when new GeForce graphics cards would arrive, but that hasn’t stopped numerous sites from reporting when the hardware would break cover. Today at their annual GPU Technology Conference keynote, NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang announced NVIDIA’s first Volta GPU and Volta products. The company officially announced today via twitter that its going to be holding a keynote headlined by President & CEO Jensen Huang at 8:30 PM PST 29th of May.
