It does make for a stronger brew in a shorter amount of time. Keurig uses 5 needles to puncture the K-Cup for a more evenly infused brew. User tests show that it takes 1 min and 10 seconds to brew 8oz at a temperature of 168. That way, you can truly make it a one-button start once you program how you like your coffee everyday. There are also programmable user settings buttons. So it makes sense how the buttons are laid out and function. Although there are quite a few more buttons than other Keurig machines, they designed this intuitively. On top of the Keurig K-Supreme are several buttons that allow you to choose the size, strength, and temperature of your brew. The removable water reservoir holds 78 ounces. By simplifying and saving counter space, it gives up in the ability to get coffee shop espresso from a machines thousands of dollars more. There is a lot to tinker with, which the BCO430 simplifies. However, if you think this is tough to clean, wait till you get a real espresso machine with all the bells and whistles. Some complain that it is tough to clean and we agree with that.
